Linda
Monty, RT(R)(MRI)(CT): Western Neurological
Associates, PC, (WNA) built the Imaging Center in 1987 in Salt Lake City,
Utah. Overseeing the activities, employees, and equipment at the Imaging
Center is Linda
Monty.
Linda is
a board certified radiological technologist (American Registry of Radiological
Technologists) and is registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and
computed tomography (CT). Her expertise and hard work, over the 27 years
she has been
with Western Neurological Associates, have helped
make
it possible
for our Imaging Center to image patients within a matter of days, or even
hours, with resulting scans of the highest quality. Linda is a past President/Chairperson
of Magnetic Resonance Managers Society (MRMS), a national organization,
and is currently a clinical instructor for Weber State University.
Magnetic
resonance imaging (MRI): Magnetic resonance
imaging scans are performed at
the Imaging Center by order of a physician. The imaging equipment is of
the highest quality. Continual software and hardware upgrades of the
magnetic resonance imaging scanner enable
Western Neurological Associates to maintain advanced imaging quality. Magnetic
resonance imaging scans are painless and have no known side-effects. Appointments
are generally scheduled within
a few
days by calling the Imaging Center at (801) 262-3441.
Same-day
service
may be requested
by physicians when felt necessary. Early morning and evening hours are
available at the Imaging Center as well as Saturdays. View

Computed
tomography (CT): Computed tomography scans
are performed at the Imaging Center by order of a physician. Our new computed
tomography scanner
uses
a significantly lower dose of
radiation than others, making it safer and more convenient for the patient.
Imaging can be done the same day it
is ordered, and early morning and evening hours as well
as Saturdays are available for scheduling. Appointments are made by calling
the Imaging Center at (801) 262-3441. View samples of

Results: After the images have been obtained, the scans are evaluated by one of the Imaging Center's radiologists, Dr. Brian Mumford or Dr. Stephen Carroll. A radiologist is a physician who specializes in the use of imaging in the diagnosis of disease. The radiologist interprets the images and dictates a report summarizing the findings, which is sent to the ordering physician within 48 hours (two business days). Films are also sent if they have been requested.
